Olivier Fontaine

Dr. Olivier Fontaine is the Medical Officer at the Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development, World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland. Born in Boulogne-Billancourt, France he attended Université Paris V Paris, Université Paris VI Jussieu – Paris, France and received his degree in AB - Human Nutrition from Centre National des Arts et Métiers – Paris, France in 1982.
He has served as Chargé de Recherche in the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD), France and as Research Associate in the Department of Internal Medicine, Yale University, USA. His research interests include diarrhoea, micronutrient and other nutritional interventions.
